We place a strong emphasis not just the level of care, training, reliability and professionalism of each of our team, but also to our organisation values to ensure a good cultural fit in our team.

Although this particular industry has no minimum training requirements, at Paradise Community Care we have determined that we will require the following as a standard for all our support workers:

  • Certificate lll in Disability Care or having commenced it.
  • National Police Clearance or DCSI Vulnerable Persons/Aged Care Screening.
  • Senior First Aid or equivalent.
  • Manual Handling Training.
  • Medication Training.
  • Drivers License and Reliable Vehicle.
  • Mobile Phone and Access to Email

For anyone working with children, we also require:

  • DCSI Child Screening.
  • Child Safe Environments Training.

We highly value those workers who meet these requirements and hold themselves to the highest standards of professionalism particularly in relation to reliability, respect, punctuality and professional boundaries.

Paradise Community Care is committed to the ongoing training of our support staff and can even offer interested workers the opportunity to achieve Cert. lV in Disability training in conjunction with our working relationship with Minda.
